TREE HOUSES

Johanna, an Austrian woman moved to the remote Cristòbal Island in the Bocas Del Toro archipelago in Panama ten years ago. The island is still practically uninhabited and contains an impenetrable rain forest. The Johanna’s land measures about fifty hectares and is accessible only by sea.

SHARING ARCHITECTURE

Every single bamboo plant is connected to
each other through a dense system of roots.
Plants exchange water and nutrients between
them to form a living organism of unique
extension. The tree houses share solar energy
and rainwater in the same way as those plant
extensionss. They are designed to minimize
the dimension of foundations and land use.
